Founded in 1982 as the "Fry Guys", Islands West Produce has grown into a leading supplier of premium whole and pre-cut fruits, vegetables, and spices for foodservice and retail markets across Western Canada.

At Islands West Produce, our commitment to local sourcing and innovation is at the core of our operations. We support local farms year-round, ensuring that we source the freshest produce at the best prices. To further our dedication to environmental stewardship, our warehouse facility features high-efficiency heat pump technology and rain gardens that minimize runoff and protect local waterways. By delivering top-quality produce from trusted partners and packaging in bulk recyclable vacuum bags and 100% recyclable rigid plastic containers, we continue to reduce our environmental footprint while maintaining the highest standards of freshness and quality.

Reducing Waste and Community Support

We meticulously manage our inventories to prevent overbuying and reduce waste, aligning with our commitment to community support. When excess produce or organic waste arises, it is donated to local charities and food banks or used as feed for livestock, helping us divert nearly all organic material from landfills. These efforts not only reduce food waste but also strengthen our community ties. By processing fresh fruits and vegetables in-house and delivering kitchen-ready and consumer-ready products to restaurants and retailers, we ensure that our commitment to sustainability extends through every part of our operation.
